Description:  Give charts a chance!  They don’t have to be scary, we promise.  Developing the ability to understand and work from charts will unlock new worlds in your knitting, especially with cables and lace.  Charts give you a visual counterpart to the stitches on your needles and can help you “see” and understand your pattern as it develops.  In this class, you’ll begin working on this lovely little lace scarf and its simple lace chart.


Yarn (included in class price):  1 skein Malabrigo Rios


Needles (available for purchase in shop):  US 7 (for a looser knitter) or US 8 (for a tighter knitter), straights or circulars


Skill Level: Adventurous beginner – you will be reading a chart and working yarnovers and simple decreases
