About this experience

COLORWORK COWL

Cost: $70

Dates:

Held over two sessions -

Saturday, January 18 & 25 (1:00 - 3:00pm)

Tuesday, February 25 & March 4 (1:00 - 3:00pm)

Description: Dip your toes into stranded colorwork with this cowl! We will cover various ways of holding the strands of yarn, reading charts, catching long floats using the ladderback jacquard method, and various tips and tricks for managing your colorwork tension (plus a corrugated ribbing demo). No previous colorwork experience required.

Additional notes: If you would like to cast on and get your ribbing done prior to the class, cast on 96 stitches for the smaller cowl or 112 stitches for the larger cowl using your preferred cast-on method, and work about one inch of 2x2 ribbing on the smaller needles. This is entirely optional.

Yarn (included in class price):  One ball of Plymouth Gina and one Berroco Vintage

Needles (available for purchase in shop):  US size 7 circular needle in a 16" or 24" length (bring a size 8 if you know you're a tight knitter), plus a US size 6 circular in a 16" for the ribbing (not required, but recommended for tension purposes)

Skill Level:  Advanced Beginner / Intermediate.
