Saturday, March 8 & 15 (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm both days)
(Class is held in two sessions, PLUS another hour when the student is ready to decrease and Kitchener stitch their toe closed.)
Description: Learn to make your own custom-fitting handknit socks in this three-part class!
Socks make a perfectly portable project. Camera will guide you through the process from cuff to toe:
Week 1 - Cast on and knit in the round with double pointed needles (DPNs).
Week 2 - Knit the heel flap, turn the heel using short rows, pick up and knit the heel gusset. Week 3 - Reduce stitches for the toe, finish with the Kitchener Stitch.
Yarn (included in class price): One ball Lang SuperSoxx or Berroco Sox
Needles (available for purchase in shop): Set of five US 1 double pointed needles, 5" length preferred
Skill Level: Adventurous Beginner and above - should be very comfortable with the knit stitch
