Yaku, is a soft, 4 thread wool yarn consisting of 100% mulesing free merino of high quality.
The running length is 200m / 50g.
The recommended knitting tension is 28 mx 40 rows, knitted on needle size 2.5-3 mm.
The threads are even and tightly spun, which makes Yaku easy to knit and crochet with and gives your needlework an even stitch definition and a beautiful surface.
Yaku is particularly suitable for baby and children's clothes as Yaku is super soft and scratch-free.
Yaku is superwash treated under the high requirements of oeko-tex and can be washed on a wool program in the machine with wool detergent.
Yaku is produced in Peru and is specially designed for CaMaRose. All the colors are specially developed for CaMaRose in collaboration with the spinning mill.
The production of Yaku takes place taking into account both the environment, animal welfare and humans. The spinning mill buys the wool from a producer where 70% of energy consumption is generated by a VESTAS mill. The manufacturer's treatment plant cleans and recycles water used in production and has also built a wooden plantation around the treatment plant which contributes to the treatment process and absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere. For the sake of animal welfare, the spinner buys exclusively mulesing free merino fibers and is oeko-tex certified on all their wool products.
Like many companies in Peru, the spinning mill shows great social responsibility to its employees, their families and the local community by supporting schools, health care and charity.
Spinderiet's high quality requirements for their products as well as consideration for the environment, animals and people in their production are the basis for the collaboration with CaMaRose since 2010.
I wish you a lot of fun with YAKU, a CaMaRose yarn created for you with care.
Kind regards Trine Bertelsen
