Date:  Saturday, August 27th (10:00 am - 1:00 pm)


Description:  Come learn the basics of spinning with a drop spindle in this 3-hour workshop!  Humans have used this technique throughout the centuries to turn fiber into usable yarn.  Drop spindles are easily portable and once learned, can be relaxing and meditative to use.  You then get the pleasure of incorporating your own yarns into your projects.


Carolyn Greenwood is an experienced spinner and dyer, known throughout the industry for her beautiful hand-dyed fibers and yarns.  She is a knowledgeable and patient teacher who is perfectly qualified to start you out on your spinning journey!


Materials (included in class price):  Bare Bones spindle from Greensleeves Spindles and three handdyed fiber "pigtails" from Greenwood Fiberworks.


Skill Level:  Beginner - come with a willingness to learn!
