Description:  The Helia Shawl pattern is a pretty, wearable, and achievable project for a knitter's first shawl!  Students will learn the garter tab cast-on (a common beginning for most triangular shawls) and work through a plain stockinette body before finishing with a simple but lovely lace border.  We'll also discuss ways to block lace pieces for maximum visual impact.
