Description:  The Harlow Worsted Hat class will teach you the basics of 2-color brioche in the round.  Working brioche in 2 colors will help you be able to read your stitches and help you recognize which stitch is which.  Knitting the brioche in the round will help you get into the rhythm of brioche - since you will be working the same stitches in the same colors each round, you won’t get confused with the colors and stitches switching.

In this class you will be learning:

2-color Tubular cast-on (makes the hat fully reversible; if you don’t want to use the Tubular cast-on, the Twisted German cast-on works great as well)

2-color brioche in the round

BRK4ST DEC - the decreases used in the crown of the hat.

Yarn (included in class price):  2 skeins of Berroco Vintage in high contrast colors (enough for two hats if you swap main and contrast colors in the second hat)

Needles:  Size 5 and size 6 circular knitting needles with a 16” cord, plus Size 6 DPNS (to work decreases at the crown)

Other Materials:  One to mark beginning of round, plus one locking stitch marker.  A copy of the hat pattern is included in the class price.

Skills Needed:  A good attitude and willingness to break out of your comfort zone and learn something new!
