About this experience

Learn how to quickly finish a pair of socks from a preconstructed tube of hand-dyed sock yarn!  You’ll measure and cut the tube into perfectly matching socks that fit great, then work an "afterthought" heel and toe before adding the cuff ribbing.

Price:  $95.00

Date:  Held over two Thursday evenings, August 11th and 18th from 6-8 p.m.

Yarn (included in class price):  One yarn kit from On a Dime Yarn Co., including a full sock tube and contrast mini-skein.  Come by the shop soon to put dibs on your colorway!

Needles (available for purchase in shop):  US1 or US2 32” or 40” circular needle (if you prefer to use or are willing to learn Magic Loop) or one set of DPNs (double-pointed needles).  Choose a needle size that allows you to knit at 8 sts/inch in fingering weight yarn.

Additional Materials:  Sharp scissors, darning needle, removable stitch markers, tape measure. Class includes detailed, full-color picture instructions.

Skill Level:  Previous knitting experience and a good attitude and eagerness to learn.  You’ll pick up stitches, bravely cut into knitting to create an afterthought heel, finish the heel and toe with Kitchener stitch, measure for proper fitting socks, and use Magic Loop (optional). Recommended for Advanced Beginner - Intermediate and above.
