Woodland Loafers

About this experience

Cost:  $70

Dates:  Held over two Thursday evenings - February 23rd and March 2nd, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Description:  The Woodland Loafers are cosy little hugs for your feet and they are also super quick to knit. (If you have small feet, the sizing in the Wee Woodland Loafers pattern may work better for you - let us know so we can print the appropriate pattern.)

Incorporating heel, toe and sole shaping, these slipper are designed to fit and stay on your feet.  Knit first flat and then in the round, there is absolutely no finishing required.

You will learn - Cast on techniques, picking up stitches, German short rows, and I-cord.

***Gauge is SUPER important! You will want to take your chosen yarn and cast on 5-6 stitches and knit the amount of rows called for in the beginning of the pattern. If this is longer than your foot, even slightly, go down a needle size and try again. You want these to be slightly smaller than the length of your foot for best fit.  This yarn will not be wasted, as you will simply rip it out before starting the actual pattern.

Yarn (included in class cost):  One skeins Malabrigo Chunky (very smallest sizes may only need one skein - we will adjust cost accordingly)

Needles:  US 8 DPNs or US 8 circular needle long enough for Magic Loop (should already be familiar with this technique)

Skill Level:  Intermediate

Taught by:  Tracy Furgason
